Commitment to Community

Each year Green Acres Mall supports many local non-profit organizations in our community in a variety of ways. Either through financial contributions and grants, sponsorships or partnerships Green Acres believes in being a "good corporate citizen".

Community Partnerships

Green Acres is more than “Being the Place to Be”, we also support many local non-profit organizations with grants, sponsorships and raffle prizes for their fundraisers. Green Acres Mall partners with local organizations to bring interesting and fun events to the mall. Some of these partnerships include: Peninsula Counseling Center, Gateway Youth Outreach Program, Girl Scouts of Nassau County, Nassau County Explorers Program and Boy Scouts of America.

Blood Drives

Throughout the year Green Acres is the site for blood donation for the Long Island Blood Services, New York Hospital and American Red Cross.  Over the years Green Acres Mall customers have donated over a thousand pints of blood to help their neighbors.

Nassau County, New York Crime Stoppers App

The official app of Nassau County New York Crime Stoppers enables members of the community to assist local law enforcement agencies in the fight against crime by overcoming two key elements that inhibit community involvement: fear and apathy. Tipsters can remain anonymous and are eligible to receive a reward if the information given leads to an arrest.

Crime Stoppers relies on cooperation between the police, the media, and the general community to provide a flow of information about crime and criminals.

Free in the app store, the new Nassau County Mobile Crime Stopper Application is available for Android, iOS, Windows platform, and most smart phones from the last two years. Citizens can download the application to their smart phone and/or tablet by entering Nassau County, Nassau Police, and/or NY Crime Stoppers. From the application, residents report crime tips via text message.
